W.A.S. Summer Exhibition Winners

From 15 May to 4 October 2026, the six winning students from the Winterswijk Academy of Painting will be presenting more of their work on the upper floor of the Villa at Museum Villa Mondriaan.

Earlier, students from the academy’s most recent academic year exhibited over a hundred works in the villa, where visitors could vote for their favourite artwork. A total of 347 valid votes were cast by visitors for the WAS People’s Choice Award.

The expert jury assessed the works on their artistic merits.

Villa Mondriaan is delighted to be able to host this exhibition. As a place where development and growth are central, the museum is pleased to provide a platform for local talent. In the house where Piet Mondriaan took his first steps, contemporary artists are presenting their work to a wide audience.
