Accessibility

Museum Villa Mondriaan is there for everyone. That is why we make every effort to make the museum easily accessible for all visitors. We are located in two connected monumental mansions and a new-build part, which is why some parts are true to the original architecture. If you have any questions or tips for us, please email info@villamondriaan.nl. We would love to hear from you!

Visitors with a walking aid, mobility scooter or wheelchair

The main entrance on Ratumsestraat is accessible to visitors with a mobility scooter or wheelchair. The doors to the rooms with works of art have a width of 100 cm. All passageways with a raised threshold are fitted with a threshold aid and are therefore accessible. In the villa, café and shop, doorways are 83 cm wide. In the new building, there is a lift with dimensions 147 cm x 100 cm. The door is 88 cm wide. In the white monumental villa, the first floor can only be reached by stairs.

We ask visitors with mobility scooters or electric wheelchairs to drive slowly and thoughtfully. Security can call you to account if necessary.

We also have a disabled toilet with support bars and a lowered washbasin. This door has a passage of 76 cm.

Blind and visually impaired visitors

Assistance dogs, kept on a leash with a harness, are allowed into the museum.

In addition, the museum cooperates with the app TapArt. Click here for the online audio tour.
