Museum Night Winterswijk: one evening, three museums, endless experiences

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, Museum Villa Mondriaan, Transit Oost, and the Museumfabriek will open their doors together for a new edition of Museum Night Winterswijk.
An evening full of music, drinks, short films, karaoke, and live performances – a journey through art, heritage, and creativity, all within easy reach.

During this special night, Winterswijk transforms into a vibrant cultural network. Visitors move from museum to museum, discovering a unique atmosphere at every location.

At Museum Villa Mondriaan, the historic villa becomes a lively meeting place. Between the artworks, music fills the rooms, short films are shown, and later in the evening, guests can take the stage for karaoke – from spontaneous singing to danceable DJ sets. A night where art and nightlife blend effortlessly.

At Transit Oost, it’s all about technology. Visitors get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look and see how trains are built and restored up close. Among the steel and workbenches, a musical surprise brings the industrial setting to life.

In the Museumfabriek, live music sets the tone as a band fills the space with atmosphere. Archival film footage of Winterswijk takes visitors on a journey back in time, revealing the richness of the town’s local heritage.

Even the journey between venues is part of the fun: hop aboard the Borrelbus, which festively transports guests from museum to museum. With a drink in hand, the ride itself becomes part of the celebration.
